“ Take It Easy with the Walker Brothers ” is the debut album by the American pop group The Walker Brothers , an album that is also known simply as “Take It Easy”. The group's musical accompaniment was directed by Ivor Raymonde and produced by John Franz and Nick Venet. The album was released on December 18, 1965 and peaked at number three in the UK album chart. The LP received excellent reviews at the time. The album contains the group's first hit single, "Make It Easy on Yourself".
In the USA, the LP was released by Smash Records with the title “Introducing the Walker Brothers”, with changes to its original lineup. From the album we highlight the songs, "Make It Easy On Yourself", "Land of 1,000 Dances" and "Dancing in the Street".

Walker Brothers was an American pop music band with a career in the 60s and 70s formed by Scott Engel, John Maus and Gary Leeds. They had several hits on the music charts, including the number 1 singles "Make It Easy on Yourself" and "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine (Anymore)". Formed in 1964, the trio of unrelated musicians adopted the name "Walker Brothers" as a show business strategy. They provided a unique counterpoint to the so-called “British Invasion”, being musicians from the United States who achieved success in the United Kingdom and Germany, while the popularity of British bands such as The Beatles and others increased in the USA.
More information about this trio is already included in this blog.
