The Walker Brothers ‎– Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers (LP 1965)

The Walker Brothers ‎– Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers (LP Philips ‎– BL 7691, December 18, 1965).
Production: John Franz, Nick Venet.
Genre: Pop/Rock, Folk Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Soul.

“ Take It Easy with the Walker Brothers ” is the debut album by the American pop group The Walker Brothers , an album that is also known simply as “Take It Easy”. The group's musical accompaniment was directed by Ivor Raymonde and produced by John Franz and Nick Venet. The album was released on December 18, 1965 and peaked at number three in the UK album chart. The LP received excellent reviews at the time. The album contains the group's first hit single, "Make It Easy on Yourself".
In the USA, the LP was released by Smash Records with the title “Introducing the Walker Brothers”, with changes to its original lineup. From the album we highlight the songs, "Make It Easy On Yourself", "Land of 1,000 Dances" and "Dancing in the Street".

Walker Brothers was an American pop music band with a career in the 60s and 70s formed by Scott Engel, John Maus and Gary Leeds. They had several hits on the music charts, including the number 1 singles "Make It Easy on Yourself" and "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine (Anymore)". Formed in 1964, the trio of unrelated musicians adopted the name "Walker Brothers" as a show business strategy. They provided a unique counterpoint to the so-called “British Invasion”, being musicians from the United States who achieved success in the United Kingdom and Germany, while the popularity of British bands such as The Beatles and others increased in the USA.
More information about this trio is already included in this blog.

“ 12×5 ” is the second American studio album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones , recorded between February 25, 1964 and September of the same year, released in November 1964, following the success of their debut album in the US . It is an expanded version of the “Five by Five” EP, which followed their first UK album. The five songs from the British EP were supplemented with seven additional tracks to complete the LP. Among these additional tracks was a theme from the UK single "It's All Over Now", a version of a Bobby Womack song that was the group's first UK No. 1 hit, an alternate version of "Time Is on My Side". Between 1964 and 1965, the album reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Australian chart (Kent Music Report).
