The Walker Brothers ‎– Portrait (LP 1966)

The Walker Brothers ‎– Portrait (LP Philips ‎– BL.7732, 1966).
Producer – John Franz.
Genre: Rock/Pop, Folk Rock, Rhythm n' Blues, Soul.

“ Portrait ” is the second album by American pop group The Walker Brothers , released in the UK in 1966 by Philips. The album was their most successful and peaked at number three in the UK album chart. The group's musical accompaniment was directed by Ivor Raymonde and Reg Guest and produced by John Franz.
“Portrait” was not released in the US under that title. In its place, American Smash Records compiled “ The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore ” as the group's second album in that country. This alternate version replaced most of the original album's tracks, leaving only "Just For A Thrill", "Old Folks", "People Get Ready" and "Take It Like a Man", as was often the case in the US.

The Walker Brothers were an American pop music band with a career in the 60s and 70s formed by Scott Engel, John Maus and Gary Leeds, with great success, especially in the United Kingdom. More information about this trio is already included in this blog.
