Danny and The Juniors - Rockin' With Danny and The Juniors

Danny And The Juniors - Rockin´ With Danny And The Juniors.

Danny and The Juniors were an American rock 'n' roll band in the 50s, 60s and 70s. They gained fame with their hit song, "At the Hop."

Danny And The Juniors , a band formed by Frank Maffei, Danny Rapp, Joe Terranova and Dave White, began singing together in Philadelphia at the beginning of 1950, groups between the ages of 13 and 14. They were two groups and local rhythms on blues radio stations. We began to be discovered by The Juvenaires and immediately decided to be part of the new Rock 'N'Roll movement and began to perform the new music in vogue, as well as our own original material, in school dances, clubs and restaurants. locais.
At this tempo, recorders were involved in a frantic search for young people and groups that could perform this new style of music. It didn't take long to discover these young people, now renamed “Danny and The Juniors”, and recorded two of their own songs, called At The Hop. The song quickly became a worldwide success, reaching position 1 on the Pop country/rhythm and blues charts. It is still considered one of the best songs of all time, registered as No. 23 on Billboard magazine's list of #1 Hits. The group then presented a new success, Rock And Roll Is Here To Stay, which became a milestone in the era, along with other dance classics such as, USA Twistin' and Pony Express. These are the first events of a series of many successes accumulated over two years.
Now, in its fifth generation of artists, the group still appears in many local venues, including conventions, theaters, clubs, casinos, fairs and festivals.
