“ Make It Easy On Yourself ” is the second solo album by Burt Bacharach , recorded at A&R studios in New York, released in June 1969 on the A&M Records label. The album stands out, not only for Burt's immense skill as a songwriter, but also for his fantastic arranging and production skills. The LP is full of excellent compositions and pleasant instrumental interpretations. The title track is considered one of the most popular compositions by the David/Bacharach team, having been a hit with several artists.
Burt Freeman Bacharach (Kansas City, Missouri/USA May 12, 1928 - Los Angeles, February 8, 2023) was an award-winning American pianist and composer. Burt was best known for composing and frequently performing his many pop hits from 1962 to 1970, primarily with lyrics written by Hal David. Bacharach composed several soundtracks and songs for countless artists, having won six Grammy awards and three Oscars. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 1971.
