“ Come Go With Me ” is the debut album by American soul singer Gloria Jones , released in 1966 on the Uptown Records label. Gloria Jones (Gloria Richetta Jones) is an American soul and gospel singer, songwriter and producer, born on October 19, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio/USA.  Gloria Jones' career began in a church gospel choir, which led to her singing background vocals for artists such as Phil Spector and Bob Dylan. Her most notable song was “Tainted Love,” which she recorded in 1964, and which would become one of the most covered Northern Soul songs in history. Her songs have been covered by The Jackson 5, Commodores, Gladys Knight And The Pips, among others. Jones would also continue to provide backing vocals for artists such as Billy Preston, Harry Nilsson, Neil Youngm and others, and in 1972 would meet T. Rex vocalist Marc Bolan, with whom she would become involved. Gloria played the clavinet (keys) and sang choirs for T-Rex until the end of 1977, when a tragic accident occurred that caused Bolan's death and meant the end of the group.
