Billy Fury ‎– The Sound Of Fury (LP 1960).

Billy Fury ‎– The Sound Of Fury (LP Decca ‎– LF 1329, 1960).
Producer - Jack Good

The Sound of Fury was the first album released by Billy Fury , in 1960. It is considered one of the best rock 'n' roll albums in England of the late 1950s.
All songs are original, unlike the debut albums of most rock and roll artists of the time (for example, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis or Elvis Presley) which usually contained “covers” of already known songs. Fury was arguably the first British rocker to write his own songs, sometimes under the pseudonym Wilbur Wilberforce.
The album was recorded at Decca's Studio 3 in West Hampstead, London, on April 14, 1960. With Billy, there were Joe Brown on guitar, Reg Guest on piano and bassists Bill Stark or Alan Weighell. Andy White, known for his performance on the Beatles' song "Love Me Do" (on which Ringo played tambourine), is the drummer on this album. The Four Jays participated in backing vocals.
The album reached the top 20, reaching position 18 in the UK album chart, remaining for one week.

Ronald William Wycherley, better known as Billy Fury , born on April 17, 1941 in Liverpool, England/UK and died on January 28, 1983, in London, was an internationally successful English singer from the late 1950s to mid of the 60s. He remained an active composer until the 80s.
He participated in groups such as The Tornados, Fury's Tornados and The Gamblers.
Among his main hits are Maybe Tomorrow (59), Colette (59), Halfway To Paradise (61), Jealousy (61), Last Night Was Made For Love (62), Once Upon a Dream (62), Like I've Never Been Gone (63) or When Will You say I Love You? (63), among others.
Rheumatic fever, which he first contracted as a child, damaged his heart and ultimately contributed significantly to his death. Considered a British star, he soon equaled the Beatles' record with 24 hits in the 60s and spent 332 weeks in the UK charts, without a single or an album reaching the top of those charts.
