Kiki Dee ‎– I'm Kiki Dee (LP 1968)

Kiki Dee ‎– I'm Kiki Dee (LP Fontana ‎– TL 5455, March 29, 1968).
Genre: Pop, Soul.

“ I'm Kiki Dee ” is the debut album by this talented English singer Kiki Dee , released on March 29, 1968 by the Fontana label, which brings together recordings made in 1966 and 1967. From this excellent album we highlight the fantastic song “Patterns”.
Kiki Dee, stage name of Pauline Matthews (Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, March 6, 1947) is an English singer and songwriter whose career has spanned more than 50 years. Kiki Dee began singing in Bradford in the early 1960s. She served as a backing vocalist for great English singers, including singer Dusty Springfield. However, she did not have any solo success until 1965, when she released the single "Why Don't I Run Away From You", which became a hit. It didn't take long for her work to be recognized in the USA and, immediately, Kiki became the first white artist from England to record for the powerful Motown record label, in 1970.

Kiki Dee gained prominence when she performed a duet with Elton John on "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" in 1976, reaching number 1 on the charts in both England and the United States, on the 100 most played charts. Billboard. In 1993 she returned to do a duet with Elton, in a version of a Cole Porter song, entitled "True Love", which reached second position in the UK charts.
Kiki Dee has released thirty-nine singles, three EPs, nine LPs, three CDs and one DVD, recorded in 2008.
